This Tomato Peach Salad is summer at its best! Ripe tomatoes and peaches are tossed with onions, peppery basil, salty feta and a tangy vinaigrette.
It’s hard to get tired of summer products! We’ve only been eating seasonally for a few years, but we can’t imagine getting enough of tomatoes or juicy Indiana peaches. This weekend was a special weekend that called for a special meal—my mom was in town from Minnesota for a girls’ weekend! We had a blast visiting some of our favorite spots in Indy…including the Broad Ripple Farmer’s Market, where we picked up some amazing heirloom tomatoes and perfectly ripe peaches. Keep reading what we made of it: this tomato and peach salad recipe.

Make this Tomato Peach Salad
This tomato and peach salad was inspired by the peach panzanella my mom and I ate at Bluebeard’s restaurant the night before, and Laura’s panzanella at First Mess this summer (so cute!). We originally wanted to try a panzanella, an Italian salad made from dried cubes of bread. Having no stale bread on hand though, we just didn’t like the idea of buying bread and turning on our oven to dry in the heat!
So we left out the bread and turned the idea into a tomato and peach salad. The salad turned out perfect, everything perfectly balanced. Sweet peach versus sour tomato, peppery basil versus salty feta, and a slightly sweet vinaigrette made from sherry vinegar and honey. This peach salad was a great side to our meal!
