You can’t be everything for everyone. In a society that says we can have and be anything, that’s hard medicine. This is a lesson I’ve struggled with for years – it’s easy to want to be the most supportive friend, to serve every customer on every project, to make every type of recipe on this site, to satisfy every type of diet . This year, Alex and I have tried to prioritize and invest in our strengths. We don’t say much more than before. While I can’t do everything, as long as I say no to the wrong occasions and yes to the right ones, I recognize that I am a unique voice with unique abilities to serve others.

That said, this spicy corn on the cob recipe can nearly be there for everyone as it is vegetarian, vegan, dairy free and gluten free. Read on for the recipe! (How’s that for a tie?)

Above all, it is delicious; The rich, flavorful tahini against the tangy cilantro and sweet pops of corn on the cob is delicious.
