How to make eggs in the oven: basic method

Baked eggs are so easy you hardly need a recipe! In fact, you don’t need it. Memorize this simple method and you can repeat it for a special brunch:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. The ideal temperature for cooking eggs.
  • For each dish, melt ½ tablespoon of butter. Toss them in the already hot oven for a quick finish. Then spread it over your dish. Replace neutral oil with dairy-free products.
  • Add 2 eggs per dish. To avoid clams, break them up into a small bowl first and then slide them in. But you can also go straight into the bowl.
  • Salt and pepper. Just ⅛ teaspoon of salt per dish is enough!
  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Normally ours is perfect at 13 minutes. Read on to learn more about cooking time!

How long to boil eggs

The exact time to bake eggs depends on a few variables: the exact heat of the oven, the thickness of the baking pan, and how runny you want the yolk to be.

  • It takes about 12-15 minutes to cook the eggs in a casserole dish until the yolk runs and the white is set. The style is closest to sunny eggs.
  • Cook longer to cook the yolk well. That would be closer to hard boiled eggs.
  • Thicker baking pans a little longer as a result.
  • After 12 minutes, start checking: Look at the egg white around the yolk and make sure it’s set.

Baked egg toppings

Here’s the fun part: adding toppings to your baked eggs! It can be as complicated or as simple as you like. Our favorite is just the parmesan and fresh herbs, which is done in no time. Here are some ideas for turning your wheels:
