  • Aged rum is the best option. Also known as golden rum Angel, Aged Rum has an intense depth of flavor. It can have hints of vanilla, coconut, almond, citrus, or caramel. The aged rum we used here was Brugal Añejo Rum.
  • White rum works too! Pale rum has a very simple taste with a characteristic burn.
  • Dark rum is also delicious. Dark rum is also aged and has a deep caramel flavor and sometimes hints of cinnamon and spice. He also makes a very tasty rum and ginger ale.

  • 2 ounces (¼ cup) white rum (traditional), dark rum or aged rum (for best taste)
  • 4 oz (½ cup) Ginger ale
  • 1 slice of lime
