Peach Mojito

Here’s a cocktail recipe that’s summer in a tall glass clinking with ice cubes… the Peach Mojito! Imagine: the juicy taste of this ripe summer fruit combined with notes of fresh mint, sparkling lime and white rum. It’s light, refreshing and calming irresistible. We’ve tried over 300 house cocktails, but the mojito remains one of our all-time favorite drinks. It’s ideal for fruity riffs like this one!

What’s in a Peach Mojito?

This peach mojito is a fruity take on the mojito, a classic cocktail invented in Havana, Cuba. Some say the origins of this drink date back to the 16th century, with an early combination of lime, sugar and rum. The modern version became popular in the 1930s when writer Ernest Hemingway fell in love with the drink.

It is now on the International Bartender Association’s list of official IBA cocktails, meaning it has an official definition. For the peach twist, simply add fresh ripe peaches. Here’s what you need:

Peach Mojito

Skip this drink if you don’t have ripe peaches!

Squeeze those peaches. Does the fruit feel soft and is it flexible? Then you have the peaches you need for a peach mojito! Don’t even try this drink unless you have the ripest summer fruit.

Don’t worry: you can still make peach drinks when peaches aren’t in season. The answer? peach snap. Visit our favorite peach schnapps drinks like peach daiquiri, peach martini and more.

Also try our peach cocktails: the Peach Margarita, Bellini and more!

Mix the fruit directly into the drink

How to add that delicious peach flavor to this drink: by blending the fruit! When grinding, herbs or fruits are gently crushed to release their juices, which helps integrate their flavors into the drink. Here’s what you need to know about jamming:

  • Use a cocktail pestle. It’s the right tool for the job! Here’s a cocktail pestle, or you can use an unfinished wooden spoon (it’s a little clumsy, but it works!).
  • Soft crush the mint! The key to soiling herbs is to be gentle and use a light touch. Don’t crush it with great force.
  • Add peaches and puree again. You want to get the fruit puree in a juice here.
Peach Mojito

Make a Pitcher of Peach Mojito (for 8!)

Mixing the peach mojito for a crowd? Instead of making one drink at a time, try our Mojito Pitcher! All you have to do is muddle the peaches beforehand. They will also prepare a mint syrup to add freshness to the whole drink. Here’s what to do:

  • Slice 8 small or 4 large peaches. Then puree them into a juice, like you did with the single drink.
  • Make the mojito pitcher recipeby pouring the juice from the mashed peaches into the pitcher of mint syrup.
  • Add additional peach slices Jug as a garnish. That’s it!
