How to froth or steam oat milk

You can use an espresso machine to steam the oat milk or, if you don’t have an espresso machine, you can froth it! Anyway, it’s the non-dairy milk that comes closest to cow’s milk. It can get very fluffy and thick with either method. This makes it our favorite for dairy-free lattes! Here are the different methods:

  • Steam oat milk (espresso machine): This achieves a latte texture similar to that of a coffee shop, with a thick micro-foam-like layer on top. Go to How to steam milk.
  • Frothing oat milk (without a machine): There are several ways to froth oat milk. The best method is a hand frother, but you can also use a French press or whisk. Go to How to froth milk.

And that’s it! Pour the milk foam into the dark, bitter espresso and take a sip. You will be blown away by the smoothness of oat milk! Let us know what you think in the comments below.
