Warm flour or corn tortillas are essential for good tacos. Here’s a trick to reheating tortillas: and give them some nice char marks too!

instructions

    1. Place a tortilla directly on the rack above a burner on the stove. Take a pair of pliers. Be sure to follow good fire safety practices as you will be using an open flame.
    2. Heat for a few seconds over medium-high heat until light charring begins to form on the outside. Don’t leave the oven during this time! Leaving the tortilla on for even a few seconds longer could turn the tortilla black or catch fire.
    3. Use tongs to turn the tortilla over. On the other side, heat for a few more seconds until hot and slightly charred. Watch out for the tortilla here too! A few seconds are enough to heat it up: be careful not to ignite it.
    4. Place the tortilla in a tortilla warmer. Repeat with the next tortilla until all tortillas are warmed up.
