Wondering how to cut a pepper but not sure what the best way is? Alex and I use a great method of cutting peppers that doesn’t end up with seeds all over the counter! (Anyone have this problem?) We use this method all the time, like when making our grilled veggie fajitas or our best teriyaki veggie stir fry. Here’s our step-by-step guide to slicing a pepper, including a video of me slicing peppers in our kitchen.

How to cut a pepper step by step
Step 1
Using a large chef’s knife, cut straight on each side to form 4 even pieces of pepper. This will keep the seeds and ribs in the center intact.
2nd step
Cut off the top and bottom of the peppers and remove the stalk.
step 3
Place the peppers skin-side down and thinly slice. (If you plan on dicing the peppers, make larger slices.)
step 4
When dicing the peppers, turn the slices over and cut across into squares.
