Gingerbread martini

Need a festive Christmas cocktail? try that Gingerbread martini! This creamy cocktail is absolutely irresistible: just sweet enough and loaded with cinnamon, allspice and ginger. It tastes like a gingerbread cookie, but consistent better: with a little intrigue about the finish. It’s just 3 ingredients and the perfect celebratory cocktail for holiday fun. That’s how it’s done!

What’s in a Gingerbread Martini?

The Gingerbread Martini is a celebratory take on the flavored vodka martini. It’s infused with great flavor from a homemade ingredient: gingerbread syrup! It’s an ideal Christmas cocktail or holiday drink anytime in December. You only need three ingredients for this gingerbread martini recipe:

  • vodka
  • Fifty – fifty (or cream)
  • gingerbread syrup

These three simple ingredients work magically in the glass: especially because of the strongly flavored syrup! But it’s easy to do at home: Here’s how!

Make Homemade Gingerbread Syrup (and a Substitute)

This Gingerbread Martini has that better cozy taste thanks to homemade gingerbread syrup! It’s a brown sugar syrup infused with fresh ginger, allspice berries, and cinnamon sticks. All you do is simmer the ingredients for 20 minutes. Try it and the taste kicks in with an intensely spicy kick!

  • Homemade gingerbread syrup tastes best here! It only takes 20 minutes and we highly recommend it. Go to Gingerbread Syrup.
  • Store-bought gingerbread syrup works too, but each brand has a different flavor and sweetness. Here is a link to buy gingerbread syrup online.

Edge of the glass: some options!

The funnest part of a signature martini? The edge of the glass! In addition to looking festive, they also add a splash of flavor and texture at the start of each sip. For this Gingerbread Martini, we decided to top the glass with festive sprinkles that almost make it look like a crown! Here are some glass rim options:

  • fgrazing waters: We used a mix of red and green Christmas sprinkles
  • Brown sugar: looks gorgeous with a nice golden brown color
  • Shredded Graham Crackers or Gingerbread Cookies: For these you will need a heavier than water glue to attach them to the glass. Pour some gingerbread syrup into a plate and dip the rim of the glass in, then into a plate of finely crushed biscuits.

Gingerbread martinis for a crowd

Are You Making This Gingerbread Martini for a Party? You’re lucky! You can prepare up to 4 martinis at the same time in one shaker. First prepare all glasses, then shake 4 drinks at once. It works like a charm (no need to shake them one by one).

Make it dairy free or vegan

Want to make this gingerbread martini dairy-free? Substitute whole coconut milk for cream! Coconut fat is a great substitute for milk fat. There’s a coconut flavor, but it’s not overpowering.

And that’s it! Let us know what you think of this gingerbread martini in the comments below.
