It’s restful, delicious and only takes 5 minutes to steep into a flavorful tea. When Alex and I tried this for the first time, we were blown away by the taste. Thyme tea tastes herbal, fragrant and filling. Making your own tea is fun and makes drinking water that much more exciting. Here’s what to do!

How to make thyme tea

Thyme tea only requires two ingredients: fresh thyme and water! You’ll be amazed at how much flavor comes from just two ingredients. Thyme adds a pleasant and satisfying herbal intrigue. This recipe is best made in the summer when you have a lot of herbs in your garden or in pots. In winter, of course, you can always use fresh thyme from the supermarket. How to prepare thyme tea:

  1. Boil: Boil a pot of water. We use a kettle (which we also use for our morning coffee).
  2. Harvest herbs: Put 8-10 sprigs of fresh thyme in a cup.
  3. Soaking: Pour over the water. It doesn’t matter how many there are: just fill the cup! Let it rest for 5 minutes and then enjoy!

Thyme is known to have medicinal benefits such as: B. soothe a sore throat, aid digestion, etc. It is therefore possible that thyme tea does the same! We’re not promising that a cup of thyme tea will cure all your ailments, but many people believe in the power of herbal tea. But we can’t say drinking a cup is positively calming!   • 8th at ten sprigs of fresh thyme (classic thyme or lemon thyme)
  • Boiling water

  1. Boil the water.
  2. Wash the thyme carefully.
  3. Place the sprigs of thyme in a cup and pour boiling water over them. Leave the thyme to steep for 5 minutes. Remove the thyme and enjoy. (Alternative method: If you prefer, you can chop the thyme leaves and place them in a tea strainer before steeping.)
