Its subtle citrus and liquorice flavor is infused into this creamy sauce that features a simple blend of lemon and herbs. Fresh vs. dried dill

The flavor of this Dill Sauce for Salmon tastes best with both fresh dill and dried dill! Fresh dill has a unique flavor that’s difficult to replicate with just the dried version. However, buying fresh herbs can be expensive and it is not always possible to have access to fresh dill. If you can’t find it, use 2 tsp dried dill instead (then skip the dried dill added in the recipe).

Why does this dill sauce use fresh dill and dried dill? They are both important for taste. Fresh dill imparts a light citrus and herbal flavor, while dried dill imparts a darker complexity. Don’t forget the dried dill either! Without the taste is missing.
