This Coconut Margarita Recipe is the cocktail you didn’t know you were missing! Fizzy and creamy, it combines lime and coconut tequila.


  • Sweetened grated coconut for the rim
  • 2 ounces white tequila
  • ½ ounce triple sec (or Cointreau)
  • ½ ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce coconut cream (not coconut cream)
  • Ice to serve (try clear ice)

  1. Toast the coconut. Remove from the heat and place on a plate in a single layer.
  2. Put some extra coconut cream on a separate plate and dip the rim of the glass rim into it. Then dip the rim into the plate with toasted coconut.
  3. Combine tequila, triple sec, lime juice and coconut cream in a shaker and add a handful of ice. Shake until cool. Strain the margarita into the glass using the rim of the coconut. Fill the glass with ice and serve.
  4. For a pitcher: In a pitcher, combine 2 cups tequila, ½ cup triple sec, ½ cup lime juice, and 1 cup coconut cream. Add 3 handfuls of ice and stir.
