Ingredients for the celery juice

Celery juice is easy to make and only requires 2 ingredients. You can do this with pure celery, but we prefer to add some fruit to make it a little more flavorful. It’s a great way to reduce food waste and use up the celery in your vegetable container. Here’s what you need:

  • Celery: You need 1 bunch of celery for 1 serving of celery juice.
  • Green apple: Green apple adds a sweet, tangy flavor and even more nutrients.
  • Lemon or Lime: Fresh lemon or lime juice will add a nice shine to the juice. It’s optional!

This easy celery juice recipe tastes great, but there are a few yummy ways to make the flavor even more interesting! Here are a few ideas:

  • Ginger Celery Juice: Add ½ teaspoon of peeled and grated ginger.
  • Pineapple Celery Juice: Add 1 cup chopped fresh or canned pineapple. (You will get a bigger yield with this addition).
  • Pear Celery Juice: Use 1 unpeeled pear in place of the apple.
  • Celery Carrot Juice: Add 4 stalks of carrots, peeled and roughly chopped.

Now for the good part… here’s how to juice celery in a blender! If you have a juicer, you can make this recipe too! Simply run all of the ingredients in the recipe below through your juicer.

  • Blend all ingredients on high power until pureed and smooth. At this point, it looks like a thick smoothie.
  • blunt! This is the important part. Strain the juice through a fine mesh strainer or a nut milk bag. You can also use a cheesecloth and squeeze it to strain out the juice. Discard this pulp or see some uses below.

  • 8th medium to large celery sticks (approx 1 Tape)
  • 1 big green apple
  • ½ cup the water
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon or lime juice (optional)

  1. Roughly chop the celery. Chop the apple, keeping the skin.
  2. Place the celery, apple and water in a blender. Blend on high power until puree and juice form.
  3. Strain the juice through a fine mesh strainer or nut milk bag to strain out the pulp. Discard the pulp (or use: see ideas above). Stir in fresh lemon juice (add more if needed). Drink immediately over ice or refrigerate before drinking.
