Creamy version: add Greek yogurt

This Banana Peach Smoothie is a dairy-free smoothie to let the banana flavor shine through. But we love a good creamy peach smoothie like our Perfect Peach Smoothie! If you want, you can substitute a creamy body for the following in this smoothie, and it adds protein too!

  • Substitute ¼ cup every Greek yogurt and milk for water
  • Add milk or orange juice as needed to aid in mixing

Ways to add protein to a banana peach smoothie

This banana peach smoothie has no protein at the base level: which works if you want to drink it as a beverage. However, if you want to use it as a meal replacement, you need to add satiating protein. Here are a few ideas:

  • Vanilla Protein Powder: Protein powder tastes great here! We like to eat natural foods, so we researched how to choose the healthiest protein powder. We use this protein powder with natural ingredients and love the taste – it’s not too artificial.
  • Chia seeds. Add plant-based protein and fiber with chia seeds! 2 tablespoons of chia seeds add 4 grams of protein and 11 grams of fiber. (See chia seed smoothie.)
  • Almond butter or cashew butter. 1 tablespoon of nut butter adds 4 grams of protein. Keep in mind that this will dull the color and flavor a bit, but it’s still good!
