The great thing about this apple smoothie? Maybe you already have the ingredients on hand. If you stock up on bananas and Greek yogurt like we did, you can whip up this smoothie in no time. Here’s what you need:

  • apples: You can use any variety! For the best flavor, use sweet, tart apples like Honey Crisp or Granny Smith (avoid Red Delicious here).
  • Banana: No need to freeze it: you can use a room temperature banana! If you have one frozen, that will work too.
  • Greek yogurt: Greek yogurt adds lots of protein and live probiotics to this smoothie, which support gut health.
  • Milk: Use any type of milk, including plant-based milk
  • Ice: The ice helps get the right texture. Note that this smoothie is creamier than frozen.

The description

This cinnamon spiced apple smoothie is creamy and irresistibly delicious! It’s packed with natural sweetness and high in protein.


  • 2 cups Pieces of fresh apples (with peel, approx 1 big or 2 small apples)
  • 1 ripe banana (room temperature)
  • ½ cup greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup milk (or almond milk or oat milk)
  • 8th ice cubes
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon Cinammon
  • Optional: ½ tbsp maple syrup or honey (we liked ours without the sweetener)

  1. Chop the apple. Put all the ingredients in a blender and break the banana into chunks. Blend until creamy and fluffy, stopping and scraping the sides if necessary. Garnish with a slice of apple if you like. Serve immediately or refrigerate in a sealed jar for 1 day.
