Strawberry Peach Smoothie
Strawberry Peach Smoothie

Inspired by summer, this blend of juicy fruits makes for a cool and refreshing drink. The fruit and protein combo makes a filling strawberry and peach smoothie, ready in just 5 minutes!

As the weather warms up, cool off with a chilled glass of Strawberry Peach Smoothie. A blend of ripe fruit, yoghurt and citrus juice makes for a quick breakfast or lunchtime snack.

Ripe strawberries have a jam flavor that is sweet with a touch of acidity. In combination with the slightly tart taste of yellow peaches, they are the perfect combination.

If you’re new to smoothie making and want some mixing and matching ideas, check out our tips that cover everything from blenders to prep ideas so you can enjoy them all summer long!

Tips for making smoothies

I use frozen strawberries and peaches to get the perfect texture and you use less ice so you don’t water down the flavor of the smoothie. They have been picked and frozen at their peak of maturity, so in this application they taste just as delicious as fresh fruit.

Add the ice and fruit first to give the blender blades more time to chop them into tiny pieces for a smoother texture. Next add the bananas, yogurt and orange juice. The liquid helps process the ingredients. Add more liquid as needed to adjust consistency.

Ways to prep smoothie ingredients ahead of time

I like to portion fruit individually in resealable zip bags. Go ahead and add the sliced bananas to save time as well. When you’re ready to make your smoothies, simply add the frozen ingredients to the blender along with your yogurt and juice, then puree.

Strawberry Peach Smoothie Swaps and Substitutions

Here are a few swaps and substitutions to shake up your smoothie game:

  • To make the drink dairy-free, substitute coconut cream or non-dairy yogurt for the yogurt.
  • If you want a sweeter smoothie, add a few teaspoons of honey, agave syrup, or pure maple syrup.
  • For a more tropical flavor, use pineapple, guava, mango, or passion fruit juice as a liquid base.
  • For a creamier taste, use coconut milk, oat milk, or almond milk instead of orange juice.
