Sweat the carrot rings in butter, then cook in a solution of maple syrup and orange juice until most of the liquid has evaporated.
Add some orange zest and a pinch of cinnamon and you’re done. Glazed carrots with a holiday twist!
Maple Orange Glazed Carrots
If you double the recipe, you may need to increase the heat or cook time to make the glaze less.

1 lb carrotspeeled, sliced into 1/4 inch thick

2 tablespoon unsalted butter

1/2 teaspoon Salt

1/4 Cup maple syrup

1/3 Cup orange juice

1/2 teaspoon Orange peel

Sauté carrots in butter:
In a large, wide skillet, heat the butter over medium-high heat until melted. Add the carrots and toss to coat. Sprinkle with salt. Cook for 3-4 minutes.

Add maple syrup, then orange juice:
Add the maple syrup and cook for another minute. Add the orange juice. Cover the pan and cook for another 3 minutes.

Uncover the pan and boil away most of the liquid:
Cover the pan and increase the heat to medium-high. Stir the carrots occasionally and cook until almost all of the liquid has evaporated. Remove from stove.

Sprinkle cinnamon over the carrots and stir in the orange zest
