Honey Mustard Dressing
Honey Mustard Dressing

Honey Mustard Dressing is ready in 10 minutes or less and will add some pizzazz to any salad, but don’t let the salad have all the fun! Use it as a dip for chicken fingers, as a marinade for pork, or mix with freshly roasted veggies!

Honey mustard dressing is my absolute favorite everyday salad dressing. It adds pep to green leafy salads and vegetable leftovers, and it’s ready in 10 minutes or less.

With so many prepared, unadulterated, and fresh greens now available, putting together a salad just got a whole lot easier. And if you don’t have to wash and dry every single leaf of a head of lettuce (I don’t mind that), you have plenty of time to make your own salad dressing without any mystery ingredients.

How do you make this dressing?

To make this dressing, whisk all the ingredients except the oil in a blender or food processor. Then, open the blender cap plug and gradually pour in the oil while the engine is running. This emulsifies the dressing and makes it slightly creamy.

If you don’t feel like breaking out a blender or food processor, don’t worry! You can still make this dressing! Either whisk vigorously in a bowl, or place the ingredients in a jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake until the dressing is creamy and cohesive.

How long does the bandage last?

The dressing will keep in the fridge for about two weeks. If the oil and vinegar separate in the fridge, simply shake the jar to bring them back together. When the oil sets, bring the dressing to room temperature or place the jar in a bowl of warm water if you’re in a hurry.

Which salads go well with honey mustard dressing?

With a homemade salad dressing safely in the fridge, you can focus on the fun of making delicious salads to go with that dressing.

  • Toss it with plain old greens.
  • Use it to flavor some cooked green beans or asparagus.
  • Toss it with small potatoes for an impromptu warm potato salad.
  • It also goes well with boiled, cold shrimp.
  • Pour over the chicken to marinate before roasting or grilling.

Best of all, it’s ready and waiting for you to put some mustard magic into a meal.
