Are you suffering from a cold? Knowing how to make Honey Lemon Tea can warm up your body and soothe your throat in a beneficial way! It’s the perfect cold remedy.
I have a cold. At first I thought the sneezing was from allergies, but then it wouldn’t go away and I felt crappy what happens with a cold. Ahoo!!
When I catch a cold, I try to remind myself of the laundry list of things that make everything better. Drink lots of water. To verify. Take zinc and vitamin C. Check. Take omega-3 fish oil (helps boost the immune system). To verify. Take elderberry syrup (it’s antiviral). To verify. keep warm To verify.
Another thing on the list that is especially comforting when you have a cold is a hot cup of honey-lemon tea.
Well, strictly speaking, there is no “tea” in a tea. It’s just honey, lemon juice and hot water.
But it’s so good especially when you have a cough or congestion. The lemon juice helps with congestion and the honey soothes the throat.
Adding ginger to hot lemon and honey tea
You can also add fresh ginger to your honey lemon tea. Sometimes I just drink the hot water over ginger. This is good!
But usually it’s just honey and lemon. Please excuse me while I catch up on the last thing on the list – silence. Relax yourself. ~ Elise
