A quick and easy delicious salsa recipe to go with steak and meat dishes! This pepper salsa is seasoned with red chilli flakes, onions and parsley, basil or arugula.

Salsa doesn’t necessarily have to be made with tomatoes, nor does it need fresh chilies.

ingredients

  • 1 large bell pepper, stem and seeds removed, finely chopped

  • 6 spring onions, thinly sliced

  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped

  • 2 tablespoons chopped arugula, basil or parsley

  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes

  • 2 tablespoons sherry vinegar or apple cider vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • salt, to taste

  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

method

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Serve with steak, carnitas or carne asada.
