Apples, cinnamon, brown sugar, butter and oats?

This apple crisp recipe came from my friend Sue Jackson from Littleton, Massachusetts. She introduced it to me years ago and it has become a favorite ever since.

Easy apple crisp recipe

One of the reasons I love this recipe is how easy it is to make. It’s as uncomplicated as possible.

  • to make it You simply place sliced peeled apples that have been tossed with lemon juice and vanilla in a baking pan.
  • Then top the apples with a mixture of brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and rolled oats
  • Bake!

It’s the crunchy topping that makes the apple crispy. The mixture of brown sugar, rolled oats, and butter caramelizes during baking, giving you a crunchy, caramel-like delight over the baked apple slices.

Leftover apple chips for breakfast
